pretty easy to use, longer battery life compared to previous generations, stilish.

not too easy for transferring in lossless mode, earphones included not that good, missing an input for recording (only possible with an external device) no possibility of selecting the gain/volume of recording. wheel control a nit annoying to use.

Sleek design and easy to use - especially if your familiar with any of the ipod range - masses of space.

Getting to grips with the video aspect was not as straightforward as it should have been - there needs to be more instructions to enable this facility.

Not promoted as a video product, but with a bit of additional software, turns an excelent music player into a superb video player that makes long journeys less boring.

Heck of a job synchronising with PC to begin with. This may have been due to a software conflict on my PC, but difficult to identify / resolve

good quality of sound and picture on movies and easy to find your way around.

i dont like the way that, when pluged into itunes, if you move your music to an external storage device, it wipes the ipod clean so you have to leave all your music on your computer.

Putting Videos on the ipod makes this that xtra bit special. The quality of the video is great. Definately worth the money. The huge storage allows you to have a bit of everything on there so youll never be bored again.

Doesnt come with a charger. Its all kool it charging from the usb cable but a charger would have made life a little bit easier.

Bought as a present for my Husband, he loves it.

Don't see husband much as he is busy downloading music/videos almost every night - some woman's dream!!!!!

good clear music / video on the move,easy to use and fairly robust. a great way to learn my foriegn language course.

battery life not the greatest,its a pain having to convert files to load and should really come with a case as standard.

Display is excellent. It is very quiet. It has never felt hot or vibrated. It is very robust.

Thumb navigation is not always easy. Sound level not great. connecting to other peripherals sounds easy but adapters are not always available.

Great sound/video quality and memory capacity for music, films and podcasts (which are great!). I love my iPod.

easy to use - buy ipod speak dock and do away with your stereo. CDs can be stored in loft/sold on one backed up on computer. We brought Apple lead so we could see photographs on our plasma which was really good.

i had a few teething problems with mine in that it would not turn its self off and would run out of charge in about 4 hours. I was out of the 28 day replacement policy by 1 day so i had to send it off to be repaired. When i sent it to them i had to leave it switched on so the battery run flat. They said they could not find a fault with it - that said it has not happend since so fingers crossed.

This is my first ipod and I love it. It is so easy to upload tunes from cds, and the sound quality is excellent. The best feature is the shuffle, you never know what you will be listening to next, and if you have put on loads of oldies like I have it is great to rediscover them.

The battery does seem to go quicker than I expected, and I knew it did not have a long life. However I have been using it a lot for video and video games.

Vast capacity, excellent battery life and slick user interface. And in black and silver very cool and classy indeed!

I have to be harsh to find any - erm, fingerprints!

Small, easy to use and transport. Holds all our music so we can play it anywhere!

Bit pricey but worth it we can listen to what we want when we want, especially in the car! (with an fm transmitter)

Storage is excellent. easy to upload to. very good sound quality and easy to use.

take care when connecting to your pc. if you get the connection the wrong way around it causes the ipod to 'jam', then needs a reset, that can't be too healthly if done too often.

Its so small and handy. Great for when travelling as it holds so many movies and songs you can never get bored when you have it!

When it freezes it takes ages to get going again. But it is understandable when there is so much stored on it.

The amount of storage. The way in which you can organise the music and access it through different genres; song title, artist etc. I bought this for the car. it saves me having to lug cd's in and out of the car or worry about having to change the CD.

Its size is too much for carrying around say at the gym although I use a ipod shuffle for the gym which is just perfect.

All that space for all your music,photos and films etc and very easy to use. we use it with a docking station and its great.

Can't get anywhere near it as my wife is obsessed with it!!!!

Easy to download music, attractive design, easy to put into pocket but heavy enough to feel that its there.

one thing that could be better is the volume controll when turned down could turn all the way down, but other than that all is great.

Smooth finish. Easy to use. Prestige is really obvious and nobody could deny about it. It's also a sort of "dvd player" where you can connect to a tv and watch your movies, not to mention photo slide show in wide screen.

There could've been some way to manually manage files without the need of computer connection.

What's not to like about my new Apple Ipod 80gb Black!!!! Sound quality is gr8 specially when partnered with my Klipsch speakers. Two of my best buys ever!! 10/10

Only that if you take albums off Itunes it takes them off the Ipod when syncing.

Lots of capacity and fairly straight forward to use once you get I-Tunes sorted out on your PC.

A little heavy and essential to get a case as they scratch very easily.

The versatility of it is great for finding the music you want, the artist or just random playing. the games are fun, and extra options an added bonus.

Found the initial loading difficult to understand, prefer a booklet of instructions to read rather than having to wade through various internet pages.

It looks fantastic and the amount of film, music, photos ect on is amazing and u use o memory up at all.

The back can get scratched and damaged easily.

Massive storage capacity. Battery life. I get 6 hours video and around 35 hours audio. Podcasts, never knew what they were about, now i'm hooked on them. Video quality second to none for size. I've loaded 40 films and 2,500 audio tracks and only half full. Don't be fooled by thinking other makes are as good as ipod. You get what you pay for.

The size of the classic is quite a lot larger than the nano. It also weighs a lot more. You will need to purchase a travel charger, as you only get a usb charger. You will need to get video conversion software from the net (see google) to transfer video in the correct format to the ipod.

very quick start up, and easy to use. sturdy construction and good sound quality...

earphones could be better and sometimes very sensitive to scratched or dirty cds, ( tracks play ok on the cd and on itunes but skip on ipod. A re-sync cures this.

Excellent storage capacity. Fits easily in pocket/bag. Clear and easy to follow screen layout.

Wheel can be either over-sensitive or not sensitive enough. Constructing playlists can be difficult. Loudest volume is not that loud (particularly difficult on the tube).

it is so easy to use i have bought one for an elderly relitive who has also found it easy to use and now does not go anywhere with out it.

The APPLE IPOD 80GB SILVER is very sleak in design and the controls are very easy to use. The coverflow feature is excellent

The sound quality is okay, but won't make the hair on your neck stand up - this might be due to the budget headphones and not the player. The software that you use to upload your tracks from the PC can take a bit of getting used to - Additional products supplied for use with the IPOD are over priced -

Great price, huge memory, nice sized screen

The old ipod problem of not being able to turn the sound up load. the headphones are naf & loose a lot of sound out the back and sides. Take my advice and by this and get some good in ear head phones

Poor quality headphones. No mains battery charger supplied (I assume Apple expect you charge from your pc all them time!). We found the instructions to be inadequate for connection iTunes etc., especially when trying to set sound levels for recording (apparently this has to be done independently to get good sound level playback, but this is not explained either in the instructions or on iTunes).

don't just plug it into your computer and hope for the best. You need to arrange your I-Tunes first or it will just load everything into it ! No Radio

It can link up to your PC to include your address book and calendar - as well as having fantastic clarity vids and movies. And because of it's memory size, you have to go some to fill it up.

It's so fresh and pristine, one finger mark or tiny scratch are noticable.

Amazing capacity, easy to use and a surprisingly good sound quality.

Not the smallest system around, but only to be expected with this capacity HDD.

Great sound quality and can play music in more than three ways, (Album, Artist and Tracks) tracks can be played in playlist such as top 25 played songs, gives the listnser the opportunity to play all their favourite songs one after the other. Great battery life, battery can last up to 2 weeks before it needs charging.

Battery takes 4 hours to recharge and the product will not support Windows Media Player files direct from Windows Media Player. Needs iTunes in order to sync the music to the product. iTunes can be downloaded from the Apple website. iTunes can take up to 17 Hours to download using dial up.

Haveing to purchase films to put on ,if u allready have the film you should be able to put it on easily.
