Bosch HBN43N551B Electric Double Oven Reviews

+ This double under counter oven is one of the largest I could find. It looks good and has a good build quality, with retractable knobs that can be pushed in when not in use. It is very quiet and has many different options for cooking. A booklet explains how to use these options for the best and most economical cooking results. The top oven is large enough to use as an oven rather than just a grill and the grill is huge, easily cooking meals for a family of four. Both ovens and the grill heat up very quickly and it is energy efficient with a lot of energy saving options. So far, I have found that it cooks beautifully. I enjoy cooking but only have a small kitchen so this "tardis" of a cooker - (looks bigger on the inside than it does on the outside) is perfect for me.

- I seem to mark the outer surface very easily (with finger marks, water marks etc). I would have preferred a slightly higher oven cavity in the bottom oven. I can probably fit a medium sized turkey in there (about 20cm height). Bosch can probably confirm the usable dimensions! Another grill pan/meat tray would have been useful.

+ it has a child lock which is a must with 2 young children. when the oven is on the outer door stays cool.

+ It looks good, is a strong sturdy constuction and im finding it an excellent performer.... food actually tastes better cooked in this oven than my previous one. There is ample space to cook a roast dinner for a family, the dual grill is a great idea, as is the easy clean option and the speedy heat up option. The universal pan is huge, and has loads of uses.

- It is a very expensive oven, but having said that... you do get what you pay for!

+ Well engineered. Cooking performance excellent, very uniform. Looks good.
Digital display and programmes very good.
Heating of ovens from cold to set temperature, quick and accurate.

+ Settings are easy to use, design is neat and easy to keep clean - nooks and crannies kept to a minimum-. Everything I have cooked so far, including baking and pastry, has turned out just the way it should, using the recommended settings. Love that you can push the setting knobs in, giving a streamlined appearance to the front. Double oven is a joy!
