Small and light Very easy to use and store away looks good Quiet in operation

Not as powerful as it's big brothers so takes a little longer to vacuum. The flexible tube is shorter than the full size machines so it doesn't reach all the way up the stairs.

Compact, light weight and easy to assemble. Transfers well from carpet to laminate flooring and there is no loss of suction between either.

The waste cylinder is smaller than I would have liked. It's sometimes tricky to press the foot release to start vacuuming.

Short hose, still not easy on stairs

I WAS AMAZED HOW MUCH DUST IT PICKED UP. MY OLD MACHINE WAS MAKING LOTS OF NOISE BUT NOT PICKING UP. DIRT COLLECTOR IS A BIT SMALL BUT IS VERY SIMPLE TO EMPTY, SO I DON'T MIND. MUST BE THE LIGHTEST CLEANER AROUND.

DOES SEEM TO BE A LOT OF MONEY, I GUESS IT IS TO COVER EXPENSIVE R&D AND MR DYSON'S HOLS.

This a fantastic little vacum and is as powerful if not more powerful than it's larger members in the Dyson family. Very good design for being able to store it away in a small cupboard too!! Very light, easy to empty and just great all round.

Not really a bad point but it's a shame that my crevice tool doesn't fit on this one as i could really do with using this part on my one.

struggle to use this dyson on the stairs the hose isnt long enough and handle is long tobend it on the stairs !

It s lightweight go round corners under beds anywhere you need it to go it will.

the only bad point is the bag needs emptying more often but thats just me being lazy.

Very lightweight and easy to use. Ended up giving it to our son who lives in a small bungalow, its also easy to store.

Not so good on stairs,the cable could do with being longer.

I bought this product because it's light enough to carry up the stairs easily and because I can push it around with one hand while holding my young baby with the other arm. The ball design means that it gets into some tight corners and it also sucks up dirt that is quite close to the skirting boards.

The cable isn't very long and I have to keep unplugging it to move from room to room. The on / off button sometimes doesn't work very well and I have to push it a number of times.

Wonderful light machine which is so easy to use. Especially good if you have a shoulder or back problem as it just glides along with out any efffort.

The lead could be a little longer as you have to keep unplugging it quite alot. It also has to be emptied quite regularly as it is a smaller machine being so light.

theyve made it lighter by decreasing the cylinder capacity! so for those with a big house to clean, u will have to empty it more often

Excellent product, already recommending it to friends & family, light and easy to use, am elderly so it is my homecare workers who use it, they all love it.

Suction so great on some carpets it would be useful to provide a manual balancing air vent.

Not recommended for large houses or houses with pets due to small collection cylinder, awkward to clean top stairs owing to short hose.

Small enough and light enough for my disabled mother in law to handle. Despite initial doubts the suction is as strong as larger models.

The hose could be a bit longer, but it is light enough to leave on a step half way up the stairs.

I have a small house where the furniture is close together so this Dyson is perfect. It is light, easy to manoeuver and the head is flat so it reaches under furniture such as the coffee tables (saves having to move them). I probably wouldn't recommend it to people with larger houses as the bin is quite small but for smaller houses this is not a problem. For a small vacuum it is very powerful and I have seen it lifting the carpet in places.

I don't find the hose and attachment very easy to use and tend not to bother as the vacuum reaches most places anyway.

Size: it takes up little room

Heavy in respect to size. Impossible to get under much of our furniture due to the 'ball'. The arrangement of the hose and fitment to get under sofas or vacuum spiders off the ceiling is little more than a nuisance, awkward and annoying. The central mesh blocks up with fluff and thus defeats Dyson's claims

It's the best vacuum I have used for a long time. I have three other makes which I have sold since buying this Dyson. What more can I say.

The dust collector emptying arrangement is a bit flimsy. It would be nice if it could have a retractable cable devise designed into it.

light easy to store

The machine seems not verty robust and long lasting, suction on hardfloor setting leave's a little lacking , I have to used two seperate socket in my living room as the cable is not long enough on off switch dont work every time, the dirt bucket is very small all in all the price I have paid for this machine I could have bought any brand of vac far better value for money But I bought my dyson on past reputation having had 3 previos mupperight models

Light Easy to maneouver

Smaller than I expected it to be. Does not have a long reach for doing stairs.

In view of a constant back problem I purchased this machine because of its low weight and easy to manoeuvre. In this respect I amd very pleased with same.

The ball is a bit large to fit under some furniture. I am aware that the dust collector is a little small but to me this is an advantage because I like to empty it after use, especially as we have two dogs.

ITS SMALL FEATURES TAKE TIME TO ADJUST TO AFTER USING A BIGGER MODEL BUT IT'S OK

Easy to store, much lighter than the larger models but with an equal amount of cleaning power. One of my better purchasing desicions.

Its light, small but has all the suction power of a big cleaner. It is so versatile, and easy to manovere, and can be used on so many different types of flooring. reduces allergens and dust mites So easy to empty , and to store. Its a fantastic cleaner, especially for its price

Because of its small size it does not hold much dirt, but as it is so easy to empty, this is not really too bad, every thing else has been excellent

nice and compact

small size means it's really easy to store in the cupboard. this convenience means that i'm much more likely to hoover! it's light and mavouverable. it's v easy to empty. the suction seems to be amazing. feel like it's really deep cleaning our carpets. just great that the tools are 'on board'. simple and easy to use. i'm really pleased with it.

this doesn't put me off. but worthy of note. because of the size of the 'ball part', I cannot push the vacuum under our bed (which is a low bed). i was able to do this with my last hoover (a vorwerk)

Smaller than expected, easy to use, goes into a small cupboard and is very quiet compared to our old DC01

The dust collection bit is a little small if you have 4 cats. We would have been better going for the larger model. Otherwise none.

main reason for bying was light wieght but pleased with the power anyway.

Foot operated release isintermittent. Hose is ridiculously short. Emptying mechanism looks fragile.

Good for small properties and light enough for the elderly but powerful suction adequate for any job.

Extension hose is too short

It was quite easy to put together, and compared to my old hoover, the stuff thats its picked up off my carpet is amasing. You think your carpets clean! Not till you've used this!

The power button really needs pressing in when you want to turn it on or off but thats not really a bad point, im just being picky

I wanted a lightweight cleaner which this is.

Not very good to use when cleaning stairs etc the extentsion pipe is not long enough and the suction is not as good and as I have four flights of stairs in my house this is important to me. When emptying the container I have to put my hand in to get the pet hairs out.

It's light and very flexible. Good power.

Horrendous stair pipe which has to be removed and flipped over for use. Power lead far too short . Would probably recommend it for a smaller house as it has to be emptied more often.

Bit plasticy, Not as solid as the Sebo. Not easy to push on long pile carpet. Bit fiddly fixing attachments on. Basic machine not great on stairs on reach or performance.
