+ Piece of cake to install, hardest part was getting it out of the packaging. Great picture and friends used to come round and watch the footie for the free beer - now it's for the picture! What more can I say
- None really, not that I've found yet anyway

+ Good clear picture. Easy menus. I like the feature which allows you to watch two screens at the same time.
- Not too sure about the auto sizing - it seems a little eratic. I also find the reaction to the remote control very slow.

+ Great picture and sound quality with all the inputs you could need.
- No real negatives to this set. Even though it's priced at the top end in its class, it's worth every penny!

+ Looks nice and sounds good!
- The signal for the remote control intermittently does not work and we have to switch off the tv and start again before the signal corrects itself. Bit of a gremlin!

Peter, Swindon
+ The SD card slot is very useful Styling very good
- The image definition on some types of programme isn't brilliant - this mainly applies to sports such as rugby or football. It was better on our old CRT TV.

+ Picture quality is very good watching sport on sky - I was worried about motion blur, but the 100mhz really works well - even with fast moving tennis and cricket balls it is a very sharp picture. I spent a lot of time in shops watching the picture and was concerned I wouldn't be satisfied, but when its piped through so many screen at once it doesn't give a good reflection of the true quality. Picture settings did require a fair amount of adjustment to get it looking it's best - the default setting is not that great at all... I'm sure a HD source would be a big improvement, but I'm as much relieved as anything that the TV is 'future proof' for me for the forseeable time watching a standard signal.
- Sound quality isn't quite as good as I hoped. I was though replacing a 5.1 surround system to clear my front room of clutter, so my expectations were probably unrealistic for a 'pseudo' surround sound.

+ Just brilliant!!! Set up was a complete doddle - out the box and it did everything it's self!!! Great pricture and sound without having to have a surround sound system.
- One annoying feature from the integrated digi box - when in the guide, you can't simply scroll through, find a channel and hit "select" and set it so that it auto jumps to that channel when it comes on.........

+ i cannot praise this tv enough,i thought all lcd tvs had poor standard definition pictures compared with crt tvs,but i am that impressed with the pictures on this tv that i am now in no hurry to subscibe to a high definition source.

+ Excellent picture quality for an lcd, very good sound quality, easy to use. Looks good.
- Expensive for the size. No automatic volume adjust I can find (ads come out loud due to cable supplier, my last tv quietened them down).
13 Nov 2007
Tristan, Milton Keynes
+ sound quality is superb picture quality and blacks are excellent. not the cheapest but excellent all round quality and well worth the price tag
- possibly benefit from a larger screen (max LCD for panasonic is 32")
27 Dec 2007
Jj, London
+ Picture quality: good definition & colour balance. SD card slot
- There is some distortion in the wide screen aspects. The picture is 'stretched' to fill the screen. Most noticeable when a circle e.g. sun will appear flattened. Probably just technical limitations common to all wide screens.

Stephen, Glasgow
+ No detractions from the picture. Sound better than my old hifi much like listening through sennheiser 480's
- None

David, Liversedge West Yorkshire, “Retired, technically aware”
+ Seemed to pick up all the chanels. Is versatile in switching, and the guide works well
- The remote control is tempremental. Sometimes you have to move closer to the set to get a contact

+ Stylish and good on screen set up for picture sound etc
- Not enough output points - difficult to set up with associated equipment
07 Mar 2008
Alan, Threekingham
+ Autosetup is straightforward and very easy.
- Much of the functionality associated with the analogue receiver will soon be redundant as will many of the remote controls after full digital switchover.

+ Attractive simple design. Excellent picture on all Freeview channels. Good sound on tv and radio. Easy to install. Loads of 'extras' that I haven't had use for yet.
- Rather expensive. Lose channel when using tv programme guide.

Robin, Lunt, “Mr average Joe”
+ Brilliant picture-very easy to use. Sounds and looks great-definately the best 32" LCD on the market
- A bit pricier than comparative Sony but you have to pay for the best!
19 Feb 2008
Andy, Manchester
+ Best screen on an LCD at time of purchase (August 2007). Best sound on an LCD at time of purchase. Very easy to use.
- Has been bettered now. Some image problems noticable at times but mostly great image quality. Automatic backlight is sometimes annoying in dark scenes and credits as it fluctuates too much - need an option to turn it off. Needs more options.

Bob, London
+ Haven't got any other LCD TVs so can't compare it directly with anything else. It it seems perfectly OK to me after calming down the colours, which are over bright for my taste on the factory settings. A top performer in the 32" class according to the tests/reviews that I have seen. I would agree.
- Slight niggle about the manual buttons on top of the set, 2 are marked v+ and v- but will only alter the volume after the F(unction) button has been pressed once to bring up the screen volume slide bar. At least the volume is the first function available from the many following.

Stephen, York, “ I'm a technophobe”
+ Easy to install. Lack of screen reflections. Perfect digital signal quality, with excellent tv guide.Sturdy remote control.Great sound quality, without the need for extra, surround sound speakers. A joy to watch.
- None, although you're liable to end up watching more tv than is good for you.

Nick, Cambridge
+ Great picture and sound quality. Very simple to use. Very good build quality.
- Very complex detailed moving images such as leaves in a forest scene can seem a little 'grainy'. This is a problem with all LCD displays at this time. However this model suffers less than any others from this problem.

Pete, Cheadle Cheshire
+ A fantastic TV well worth the price. As they say 'you get what you pay for' Fantastic picture especially in HD and great sound What Hi-Fi and other magazines rated this set as the best Premium 32" LCD TV
- Can't adjust backlight unless you go into engineers mode which is not for the faint hearted. When using TV guide it doesn't have your current programme in the corner like most freeview boxes

- Prefer if not shiney as it attracts dust

+ Easy to set up. Good quality.
- You can get cheaper brands, but not sure if you would be compromising on the quality of Panasonic. No other bad points about the TV.

+ Very good product for those seeking excellence and have enough know-how to achieve it.
- It really needs an additional simplified remote control for the non knowledgeable people who want the best TV out there.

+ The picture quality is brilliant. Deep blacks with no ghosting. Sharpness when using HD is outstanding Was a best buy when we bought it and I believe it still is The combination with SkyHD and the single controller makes viewing, navigating, and recording an absolute dream.
- Hardly a bad point, but the powerbutton on the top surface is a little difficult to find. Sound, particularly simulated 3D could be just a little better, but still very good.

+ Looks good, easy to set up, live pictures excellent, HD excellent. Tend not to use HD mode as I have not figured out how to record on to my DVD hard drive in this mode as it only allows AV recording
- Some recorded programmes can look pixelated depending on the quality of the VT. Disappointed with sound which is one of the reasons I bought this model.

27 Mar 2008
David, Sheffield, “Bright Young Thing”
+ Rich, deep colours with crystal clear action & sports sequences (no blurring) make this TV as good as they get and despite a 5 yr old DVD player that growls and freezes up occasionally the picture quality remains simply stunning. I can't see myself replacing it for decades no matter what 'must have' features emerge in the future.
- Poor sound quality and slightly cumbersome handset.

Paul, Stockport, “Average family man”
+ Well designed, good looking television, which has drawn many compliments from family and friends. Excellent sound system, providing clear crisp sound. Not exacly "surround", but you have to be realistic, the speakers are in front of you. Picture quality is superb, remote is solid and welll designed. Should prove child proof. Overall I am dellighted with my purchase, could of been a bit cheaper.
- Not entireley convinced with the on/off button, not definate enough, think it will give up the ghost in a few years time.

- Sound not as good as expected. 'Jelly' like picture on still parts of faces if one part of face moves, and the other parts remain static. e.g mouth movs but foreheadoesn't, then the forehead mishaps.

Mark, Stansted
+ Out of the box the TV tuned in all Freeview channels with a 10/10 rating - even though theoretically my postocde should not even be able to receive Freeview. Excellent picture quality although you do need to play around with settings to personalise ideal Very thorough manuals - esp. for linking up with Sattelite, dvds etc.
- Remote Control is quite fussy at being pointed directly at television to get control.

+ Had done my 'homework' on the internet as to which LCD TV was up there as being one of the best and the Panasonic 32 LXD700 was very highly rated and I too agree with all the reviews I had read. Its a fantastic TV with a very sleek looking black finish. I have no bad points to report at all.
