Pure DMX60

+ This is by far the best DAB radio that I have purchased to date. It has numerous features that are all very useful. Truly in a class of it's own.

- Not found any yet, don't think that I will.

+ Small practical design.Of all the compact HIFi's I looked at, this was the smallest in size with all of the features and more other makes and models had. Detachable speakers. I wanted a modern HiFi that I could attach my Bose speakers to. External memory facilty. Able to use SD card with loads of MP3's. USB port. Able to update machine with downloads from Pure via computer. Easy to set up.

- None that I have come across yet. Other than it looses all it's settings when power is turned off. But I can cope with that because it's so easy to set up.

+ Multiple alarms, recording onto memory card.

- I can't work out how to set the presets after the first 9 on the radio. Can't listen to radio when recording.

+ Excellent sound quality from compact speakers. Excellent compact design - looks good. Easy to set up. Very good DAB radio with excellent reception, and presets; cd function works well too. Haven't had a chance to use the revu or sd card recording yet. Excellent value for money.

+ Easy to set up, aerial works very well even without fixing it in a hgh position, able to switch it off at the plug without loosing the settings.

+ Great sound quality when compared to others, particularly MP3 docs, at this price. Superb DAB radio and excellent intuitive menus.

- Occasionally struggles to cope with some format CD's (very minor criticism!).

+ SD card slot good idea, USB slot good idea. LCD screen good idea.

- can only record to SD from radio only, bad idea! colour of LCD screen not well thought out however, a sort of dull grey, would have been better to have nice blue or purple background instead, would look good with lights off!

+ Nice design with clean lines. It feels solidly made and chunky - unlike many units these days which tend to have a very flimsy feel to them. DAB radio reception very good on the supplied antenna.

- Found the sound quality very dissapointing - it was all mid-range, with no real bass or treble response. Display not easy to read in bright light condtions.

+ Easy set-up & operation,great sound,ability to timer record DAB radio & rewind/pause. MP3 capability with CD & SD card.

- FM reception not as good as could be.

+ Easy to use and a great combination of facilities.

+ Sound quality is fine when it works, and niceish design.

- My first machine lost all power, and I lost a trapped CD when I sent it in for replacement. The replacement DMX60 started having intermittent periods without (FM) radio reception, and then started missing out on half of any CD I played - this after 3 months of light use. Definitely not worth the hassle.
