Pure Move

+ A great DAB, works well with great reception and very long battery life - pretty much goes all week and then needs a long charge. Small enough to take where you want and big enough to reproduce great sound quality.

- Charge time is higher than expected - but needs doing only infrequently.

+ AT LAST A PORTABLE DAB RADIO WITH SUPERB BATTERY LIFE, THE BUILT IN POWER PACK REMOVES THE HASSLE OF BATTERIES, EXCELLENT RECEPTION AND SOUND, QUALITY PRODUCT.

- IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO HAVE AN ALARM FACILITY, A LITTLE EXPENSIVE BUT OVERALL NO MAJOR NEGATIVES.

+ Fantastic low battery consumption for a DAB radio. Arrived with part charge which has lasted a month using it 30-40mins a day. Now on full charge....will probably last 6 weeks! Greeat compact size and smart design.

- Sound quality not fantastic due to small speakers.

+ Nice and simple product that delivers what you want. Nice and small to have in the office yet enough sound to keep the kitchen happy at meal times.

- You need the aerial up to get the desired reception and therefore this can be annoying if you want to walk about with the earpiece in.

+ Excellent mobility. Battery pack lasts for days. Good reception.

- The speaker is dire. It distorts at moderate volume or above. I generally use mine for voice radio stations (TMS) and at lower settings anyway so not really an issue for me.

+ It's easy to use, well-designed and robust. The rechargeable battery works well so far.

- For my purposes it would be better if it had sleep timer / alarm functions.

+ Excellent design; sound clarity for speech is excellent, but music is somewhat tinny; the only drawback in operation is the slight delay in turning on/off. I'm so happy with mine that I've recommended it to a friend.

- Aux in has preset volume but that's about all!

+ Battery lasts a long time, I have run it over a four day period without recharging it, and I was using the speaker. Not continuously, but most of the time. It must come close to the 40 hours promised.

- Speaker is a bit tinny when volume is up a bit, but this is to be expected on that size.

- On/Off button - have to hold it down to turn on/off. Aerial a bit flimsy - could easily break it if you turned it the wrong way. Volume joystick - a bit fiddly for people with arthritic hands.

+ Size & portability. Battery life for a DAB radio is good. Rechargeable Pack so not messing around with batteries.

- There is a long delay in switching the unit on and off. On/off switch is poorly positioned (IMHO). Cant adjust Treble/Bass. Doesnt charge via USB lead/connection. Expensive.

- Menu a bit clumsy, but not overly so.

- Tricky on/off button and process which to start with I thought was faulty and is still a little awkward to use.

+ The radio works well into headphones and is a pleasure to listen to. The battery life is longer between charges than earlier DABs.

- The loudspeaker sounds cheap. If you want a decent shelf radio get a bigger Pure radio. When used as a tuner the output is very low so you have to turn up the radio and hi-fi. Remember to turn them down before you use them separately.

+ I have a couple of Pure One's - one with a chargePak at home but wanted a more portable version. The Move is a nice size and the built in rechargeable battery pack makes the product

- Thought I might be able to carry round in my pocket using speaker as opposed to headphones but even in agood reception area this doesn't work. Still waiting for a DAB version of Roberts Sportd 988- a wonderful little analogue radio.
