Roberts RD8

+ I like the chunky style, suitable for my clumsy old Dad! Good sound and easy for a blind person to use.

- He uses it in the bathroom, but the batteries lasted less than a month, as opposed to his old Roberts radio, where they lasted years! He has had to use a lead into the bathroom - not recommended, but he did not want to be buying batteries every month!

Would definitely buy again from Roberts, but not for batteries

+ General design and function. Great reception

- Low volume. Not high enough sometimes to cover other household noises.

- Poor sound quality. I thought it sounded less bad at a higher volume but I didn't want to annoy the neighbours. Not enough presets.

I was so disappointed with the sound quality that I took it back for a refund.

+ This radio is not only extremely easy to use, but it looks great too. It is excellent at picking up reception even in places where thee DAB signal is not all that great. The memory function for the DAB stations and FM stations is also excellent. The hard drive function is also very useful and easy to use.

I would recommend this radio. It is reliable, great sound, features and functions. it does what it should do, very well

+ Good original design with wood to add that bit uniqueness. Good sound quality and reception. Easy to use.

- None to speak off apart from the price is a bit high.

I would buy another for myself as this one was for my daughter who lives in a poor reception area.
