- Temperamental - Sometimes it won't display the picture a dvd is put in (get a flashing blue screen) so you have to switch it off and on again. Sometimes if you fast forward a dvd when you resume watching the sound has gone and it needs re-setting.

- Doesn't resume play if a disc is ejected. Remote only works from a narrow angle.

+ Very cute, delightfully hi-tech, and with HDMI output it produces an excellent picture. Audio out is good too.

- Ah, this is annoying. Every time you do anything with it, it beeps. Aaaagh.

- Not having an on/off switch, you have to switch off at plug socket. But probably not much power drain in standby?

- Wouldn't personally use this as a main living room player.Picture quality should be a bit bitter for the price and the fact I'm running through HDMI, but really that's a small point.

+ bought for my mother who found the controls easy she loves it (unfortunately spends way too long using it) picture is crystal clear sound excellent sockets at the back are great tested with my pc and excellent although picture too large and will buy in 26 inch panasonic for cumputer oh yes the set up was a breeze didnt need the manual just plug in and let the tv do the rest re settings etc .From memory got this due to Which recommmendation

- This an excellent DVD player this is my second one due to a fault but both have been very unreliable!

+ Everything apart from the bad point below.

- Was not able to get the HD connection working on my LG HD flat screen TV

+ Excellent for the price. Small size fits almost anywhere. Simple but stylish looks. Sound and image look good on HD TV.

- Only bad point so far is when listening to audio Cd you have to skip track by track rather than choosing track number by putting in numbers on remote. Ok for short CD's but not audio books when you have to skip to say track 49. As not many people us it for this it is a minor point that should not put anyone off the player. Need to buy HDMI lead seperately.

- did not come with the right leads to connect to a HD tv, but when sorted 2 days laters works well

+ The beauty of the product is that it will upscale to whichever version of HD that you have.

- None, other than the sound quality is difficult to quantify as it depends on your TV's reproduction.
