Samsung J700

+ so far its all good

- no bad points

+ ooks good...good battery life...maybe suitable for teeanager

- quite heavy....just appears a very basic phone compared to others

+ The phone is easy to use, small and compact.

- Limited ring tones and cannot work out if I can assign different ring tones for different callers. Also have not been able to change the ring tone to one of my choice on text messages. Not just me, sought the help of some keen moby users and they could not help me out on this one either. When text messages come through unless you acknowledge receipt it repeats the warning over and over.....Seems to delete some sent messages, which is a bit confusing.

+ Looks good, battery lasts well, sound quality very good overall excellent value for the money.

- Camera quality is very average, strange limit on MP3 playlists (maximum 4 playlist with 30 files in each - even though the optional SD card takes upto 2Gb), earphones are poorly designed & fall out of your ears - you can't use standard earphones either. Slightly fiddley menus make it hard to find the setting you need.

+ easy to use, looks good, has everything needed, and not too hi-tech for the not too technically minded user

+ I brought this phone for my 11 year old daughter and she loves it, easy to use, great camera! would recommend.

+ Looks good, easy to get started and use. Camera not bad quality - afterall it is a phone, Ringer and voice volume good for a cheap phone.

- Navigating is easy, but you have to go through a lot of screens to get somewhere.

- If you press the middle (silver) button by mistake it takes you straight onto the internet, this is the only thing that i would change about the phone. Camera is not the best quality but never had problems with it.

+ phone is compact and small enough to fit into my lifestyle. easy to use as it is an easy crossover from old samsung. different modes means can easily swithc from silent modes to loud. password to private areas prevents unwanted access to personal items eg messages

- memory is tiny compared to old phone. can only hold two songs and a few films and pictures. old samsung held hundred pictures five or so films a minute long and thirteen songs. larger memory would put this phone on top of everything else. screen needs more protection as it is following same road as old samsung, the screen splits inside and discolours the screen till completly white.

+ Its really easy to use and navigate and it looks great!

- The memory's low but it can be upgraded.

+ I like the neat size of the phone and the look of it.The sound is also very good.

- I had to buy a 1GB sd card just to add some songs onto the phone as it had no memory at all.After adding one song and a few photos it was full!

- the menu cold be a little mre clear , as i am a pensioner i find it a little obscure

- can only hold 200 messages where my other phone - sony ericsson can hold nearly 2000 which i need , didnt have a very good picture either and i couldnt store some pictures because they were too good quality for the phone to handle

- a bit long winded when sending texts far too many screens - my previous Samsung was two oks and gone this is at least five despite the shortcuts and the battery lasts nowhere near as long

- when i try to use the camera the phone shuts down and comes back on, it also takes too long to take the photograph. there is no flash. there is no actually silent, there is only one mute sttin but it still beeps when you get a missed call and vibrates when you send a text.

- Only demo games available on the phone, you have to buy full games.

+ The phone is very easy to use. The menus are clear and easy to navigate. The screen is quite large and text is easy to read.

- The USB connection with the supplied software does not work on one of my computers although I can access the SD card as a removable disk therefore I can add and remove music, video and images OK so it's not a big problem. I use the Music player a lot and find that having to create Playlists is annoying also there are only 4 Playlists available. I cannot play "continuous" album tracks direct from the SD Card.

+ Ease of use and looks girly.

- The web browser central button - keep pressing by mistake and going into the browser. On most other phones this key is to confirm things.

- No flash on camera, lack of internal memory.

- If you are used to speed texting you can find that alot of words end up spelt wrong as the phone is slower to add the letters than what iam used to.

- Volume of ring tone not loud enough. Not as many features as other phones I've had. Bluetooth doesn't seem to pick up anything, especially ring tones, says not enough memory. Didn't come with as many accessories as was told it was, i.e. headphones, wire to connect to computer.

+ USB adapter and CD Rom package quite handy

- There isn't a lot of memory, quality of pictures and movies are very poor. Not satisfied at all really.

+ I bought this pink J700 for my wife and was so impressed by it I bought a black one. Whilst we are still finding our way round the phone, I think I can safely say that this is the best mobile we have had. Great screen, navigation easy, looks good etc. For the price, and what comes with it, the J700 will take some beating. Nice one Samsung!!!!

- The only negative point, for me, is the location of the volume control which can be easily caught when using the phone and causes the person at the other end to loose your conversation. Just requires a spot of retraining myself on how to hold a mobile.

- stopped texting to be forwarded to certain phones. no volume on to quite cant hear it ringing when in bag.

+ The J700 is very basic ideal for someone who doesn't have a lot going on in there life

- You have to go through loads of screens before your text is sent Also no software to attach to a pc to download & upload music or pictures Not enough memory for music,Photo's etc took all of 2 full length songs!!

+ Easy to set up. Compact. Can listen to Radio. Good sound quality. Excellent value for money.

- Quality of camera not as good as it needs to be. Not much choice of ringtones included compared to my old Motorola.

- Not great instructions, had to go into shop to find out how to use predict text, to find different options for words. Also sliding the phone leaves finger prints on screen as there is nowhere to press to assist the slide.
