+ A very smart modern looking TV with the beautiful piano black finish. Simply plug it in and it sets itself up, Then you can just sit back and be amazed at the massive size and quality!

- If you are using this TV in a small room you will feel the heat that it gives off, However this could be an advantage in the winter! The only other problem is that if you have been watching a program like GMTV it leaves the gmtv logo on the screen, You can however remove this with the built in burn protection screen cleaner.

+ We bought this TV for watching Sky HD. It is fantastic on sky HD and HD movies. The 720p THE BEST for sky hd as sky boxes broadcast ONLY in 720p and 1080i (AND NEVER IN 1080P). 720P is than 1080i as 1080i is interlaced. Plasmas and LCD TVs don't like INTERLACING......So if its for Sky HD you got yourself a bargain.

- Sound is very poor, but all Plasmas and LCD's are the same. These type of tv's ALWAYS need a Home theatre kit our amp. The Sound from this model is only suitable for a tiny living room or bedroom. You'll also want to buy 1080p TV if its Bluray discs you want to watch.

+ Big screen, low price, computer games four feet wide! Using this with a Freesat receiver and HDMI cable I get a great high definition picture on the few HD channels available (more to come soon I hope) and good picture on the ordinary channels and the terrestrial freeview channels through the built-in tuner (depending on source material).

- Not 1080p. Needs external amp and speakers for good sound (I use headphones).

+ Excellent value for such a large tv. The picture and sound quality are very good but I would suggest that you need a large room to fully appreciate both these aspects. The design and functionality of the TV are excellent. It is sleek and stylis despite its large size and comes well equipped with plenty of external connections.

- None really - picture not as sharp as expected but good all the same - I expect that you need a big room and to sit a bit further away than we can in our room - problem with showrooms - everything looks smaller and pictures clearer because you are viewing them from a greater distance. Please note though that this is not a fault of the television!

+ Good value at the time of purchase, Nice sharp picture on Sky & Freeview and even on analogue TV, High Definition Quality is nice & crisp for Broadcast HD ie BBC/ITV/Ch4 HD but it doesn't go up to 1080P if you want the best out of your BlueRay player. Finally - very easy on/off on the front.

- Sound is not too good if you want it louder than say 20. I had read reviews about the sound on this tv before buying and understood that I would need to invest in a home cinema sound system to get the best sound - still saving for that! The only other thing I find annoying is that there appears to be no real on off switch, its either on or on standby. Still it has encouraged me and the finance to actually switch off the plug and pull it out of the socket.

+ very sleek and i love the light touch power function, looks really nice.

- the sound is ok when watching tv, like sky etc but when you have a dvd to watch you have to turn the tv up so loud just to hear it. i can have it on 16-20 for tv but 50-60+ for a dvd!

+ The product overall is fantastic i think, the picture quality is fantastic even when the television is not set in HD mode, the picture is so crisp. Also as the television is specialised in sport it is fantastic for watching football, watching football on it is a dream and for any other buyer who is mad about football this is the king of all televisions, especially for the price. Cannot go wrong. A great buy.

- There is only one bad thing about the television and that is the sound, it isnt the loudest television as the speakers are underneath it so the sound is aimed at the stand so it doesnt hit you instantly as soon as it comes out of the television, but if your neighbours dont mind you having the television loud, then get this television!

+ Picture quality is fantastic. I am using its standard freeview and the picture is much better than my previous 40" LCD. The quality of the TV overall is fantastic and the functionality is excellent. I have read a number of reviews suggesting that the sound quality is really bad. I have to strongly disagree. The sound is excellent on everything except for poor quality vhs recordings or streaming video. I did notice on the poorer quality recordings that the sound suffered from a lot of vibration. I adjusted the sound settings and now its fantastic all round. No vibration even turned up loud. With regards to the HD its also fantastic. I am currently running a PS3 through HDMI and the picture is unbelievablely good on Blu-ray and games.

- got screen burn after only 2 days due to playing xbox 360 game "Battlefield: Bad company" the game has a mini-map which has a bright white border around it which cannot be moved or disabled and so now the screen has a 5 inch square box burned in the bottom left corner. and the game was only on for an hour and a half.

+ the tv has a good picture for the price and is probably the lowest priced 50 inch plasma from a respected maker. this is all well and good but the low price comes at a cost. the tv in built speaker is the worst i have ever seen. the slightest amount of basse and its vibrating like crazy. fine if you have a surround speaker setup but if not then steer clear of this tv, good picture/terrible sound !!

- Gets very hot. Surround sound purchased does not work with normal tv only when watching dvds. When you turn it off it stays on standby until turned off from the mains.
