+ Just like the phone's apprearance and its functionality
- The battery life is ok but there is very little warning prior to it going dead. This can be frustrating if you are out and about and unable to recharge i.e. you have no phone.

+ a modern and stylish design, very good camera quality, good quality sound
- battery runs out very quickly when being used, camera takes a long time to actually take the photograph, touch buttons are sometimes too sensitive and sometimes not sensitive enough, poor choice of games

+ the phone looks great and the features are good, also the quality of the camera and screen are fab
- the touch screen either doesn't respond when you want it to or moves from screen to screen when you don't want it to
26 Jul 2007
Mark, Pontypridd
+ thin and stylish
- poor battery life
26 Jul 2007
Matt, London, “student”
+ looks good does the job
- touch buttons are sensitive when you don't want them to be, and not sensitive enough when you do - seems to respond to accidental touch more than deliberate touch. key buttons are not raised, so if you have anything bigger than small thumbs, you may find that you end up with incomprehensible texts and phoning china. the 'settings' menu is a bit illogically laid out with not all the configuration options not necessarily being under the file name you would expect, if anywhere to be seen at all. (to stop it beeping whenever you brush a touch button by accident, you have to lower the volume with the button on the side of the phone, there isn't an actual menu option to make it silent) camera takes ages to take a photo.

- poor battery life. I send on averge 100 txts a day and make about half hour worth of phone calls and i am lucky if the battery lasts one day. as usual with new phones there are some software bugs i.e will not cancel a txt message during send even though there is a button to do it.

+ Sleek and stylish, easy to keep in the pocket. Sounds excelent and screen is clear.
- Touch buttons a pain on the front panel when the phone is closed. The menu system is sometimes difficult to navigate around and the phone stays in key locked when you answer a phone call, so you need to remember to unlock it before you try and terminate a call.

+ slim and sexy design. like the fact it vibrates when the touch sensitive buttons are pressed. useful link to email (although haven't worked out how to do it yet!)
- would prefer more comprhensive instruction booklet (or access to one on included CD). touch buttons can be overly sensitive.

+ Looks nice
- It is not the easiest phone to navigate. The texting set up is awful and is still taking ages to get used to. When in certain applications such as camera, it exits out of it without me doing anything. Very frustrating and quite long winded to get anywhere.

+ A good little phone which has all the features I require for the price paid.
- Unfortunately the Soft Keys can be too soft at times and you can very easily cancel a Text you are you are composing or about send. Takes a time to Switch on - approx. 25 seconds.

- little warning before battery runs out, keys hard to use, especially touch sensitive keys

Neil, Cardiff
+ Looks nice, ummmm,,,, features are ok. good call quality
- battery is terrible for a samsung, its ok untill u make a call, then the battery is drained very quick. Touch screen buttons are over sensitive meaning calling people by accident, and when you do its difficult to hang up in time to cancel call, oooh, and my screen cracked quite easily, although i was watching a punk band at the time so....

+ It's a beautiful phone which takes great photos & has great audio quality.
- Sometimes the swapping between using the keyboard and having to select on the touch screen can be a little tricky.

+ Looks fab and very light, sleek, some nice features in terms of camera, texting (vivid messages) and themes. Overall the look and feel make this worth getting despite its shortcomings
- Horribly sensitive touch pads sent me mad for first week. Battery life of a gnat. Not very intuitive and slightly complex menus etc.

+ Nice and slim so fits well into your pocket.
- The screen is like a mirror and impossible to see in sunshine. Touch sensetive rather than keys, you only have to accidentally touch it and you lose all you were doing.

+ It has so many things on it so its not just a phone it is so much more than that and helps you to keep appointments. It also had an SOS feature to use in an emergency which is an excellent idea well done samsung.
- When you first buy the phone it takes quiye a while to familiarise yourself with all of the phones features bit its worth it in the end.

Maja, London/sidcup, “19, Actingstudent”
+ LOVE the design....! It's small, thin and doesn't weigh much. Took a while to get used to the buttons (tough screen) and the soft ware, some things can be a little hard to find.
- Low battery time, runns out after 2 days. Camera takes the pictures slow and clumsily, one of the reasons why I bought this phone was to have a camera, but it is so slow in use (and hard to figure out the camera as well, take ages to take a picture....) that I end up never using it. The music player is in the same way, It takes about between 5 -10 seks to chage between songs, VERY ANOYING.....! and the main music player (play forward and stop button display) only comes up when you've chosen a song, which means that if you want to close the phone, when u want to change the song you have to navigate trough playlist and albums and and and...... Very amateur to make the software like that. Also very anoying that there is not a button on the side of the phone that enables you to change song. And, ear phones, (or head set). I had by this point realised that samsung haven't exctly given thir heart and soul in to makea really good multi funktioning phone, BUT my god, when I'd bought a exstra large memory card to store all my music in I wanted to listen to the music. But guess what...? No one in the whole of London did actually sell anny ear phones. I got a pair from a friend of mine. And, unlikely sonys eriksons (which was my previous phone) ultra comfertable-all-fitt-earphones, they where exstremely uncomfertable and wayyy too big for my tiny ears..... Samsung, your design is FAB, but please use some more time on your software......!

- touch key pad often phones people unintentially.
19 Jun 2008
Wayne, Derby
+ Slim, light, attractive AND full of features
- Battery life, although it's better than D900 due to the processor running at 85mHz and not 104mHz

Alex, London
+ It looks good and it's sleek and compact.
- As someone who works in design, it's quite clear this phone was never properly user-trailed. The touch sensitivty is a complete mess. Whilst using the phone, it will randomly jump from one feature to the next and lose what you have just been doing. It's way too sensitive and there it no reason why the select and cancel buttons couldn't have been physical buttons as this would have avoided the frustration that ocurs when using. Everyone I know who owns this phone, detests the touch-sensitity. Very badly executed.

+ Very smart looking phone, i have many complements on it by others. Love the way you can choose number themes for when you type in numbers. Mine come up as numbers on different colour post-its notes. very slim line, it fits in your pocket of your jeans very nicely and doesnt stick out. The camera and video are also very cool. would def recommend to anyone buying it.
- When you open it you have to be a little carefull as you only have to scan your fingers accross the front sensors by accident and you are calling somebody. I have done that way to many times. I dont feel that the battery lasts as long as any other phone i have had, maybe i use this one more?? hense why it goes down quicker, i am not sure It only has 2 colours to choose from on menu layout-black or white

+ I like the overall layout and it is very easy to use altough I have had a Samsung before which was similar. It is quite slim so easy to fit in your pocket and looks stylish - especially in pink! The camera is very good and it has all the other features that you get on phones although I don't tend to use them. It also has an emergency system which once set up [which is simple] enables you to contact your emergency contacts at the touch of a button.
- The only negative point that the phone has is the touch screen buttons on the front. They do make it quick to get around but if you accidentally press the cancel button you are taken back to the home screen and have to start all over again. It is something you do get used to though.

+ stylish looks,slim,not too heavy,mp3 player
- touch sensative buttons in exposed front area causes constant un-intentional acctivation of them(unwanted outgoing calls and so on)headset is uncomfortable in your ears and awkward to use due to design, compatability issuse cause it not to play video files correctly, all in all,i wish i had bought a nokia.

+ Apart from the keypad issues it's OK, though not especially good.
- The hyper-sensitive keypad reacts to the slightest touch, resulting in frequent unintentional phone calls and internet connections (I had to delete the internet connection altogether as I rarely use it and I accidentally ran up a huge internet bill due to the stupid touch sensitive keypad!)

+ Can not find to many good points on the phone. it looks ok and it is a slide phone. the colour blue is alright and it is samsung.
- impossible to handle. menu and touch button are very strange and difficult to use. text message system has changed to much between the samsung what i had before. reception of the phone is not very good in london and it gets stcked pretty regulary. the worst part is that i am stucked with this phone for 18 month and i believe it will be my last samsung phone. i might even have to use my old phone as it is so much better then this one
