- When you switch it off it goes to standby mode - seems to be the norm with new products - ever heard of global warming! The aerial is the standard flecky stuff. The bass is almost non-existent.

+ I was looking for a unit that had DAB Radio, And MP3 from a cd. This ticked those boxes with so much more! Tape deck, remote, alarm clock. I use this throughout the night every night with no problems at all.

+ I have been able to find any programme on the radio easily, I find it easy to use the cd and the tape recorder. This machine fulfills all my requirements. I thoroughly enjoy listening to the radio, this is my main interest, although I do love listening to my music on it!

- The only thing is I haven't tried recording tape to tape or radio to tape yet. i am not sure if it does these two functions, I have to check this out.

+ Really easy to operate - foolproof. Sound quality is pretty good and the DAB is a great feature in the most part, saves having to buy seperately. Also like the cassete player. Not many modern systems ofer this, can dig out the golden oldies! Plus its a Sony, need i say more

- If I was to be picky then the case is a little plastic and fragile feeling. Not sure if would withstand hard use especially the cassette door.

+ Mine is in my garage, It has a tape deck for playing all the old 80's hair rock tapes, DAB tuner works suprisingly well concidering lack of proper aerial, Remote control is useful.

- Pressing the buttons on the tape deck is like a game of chase, as the unit tends to move away from you rather then the button depressing

- We are in a particulally weak area for DAB so every now and again the signal is lost. But we are persisting as when it's does work it's exceptional.

+ Great little hi-fi. Easy to set up. Surprised by the features included for the money, such as DAB, tape deck, etc. The DAB aerial is integrated with the FM aerial (flexible wire), this is great as it means the unit is very tidy. Impressed with the black front design.
