- aerial connection is rubbish..took me two days to get it working,,whoever designed the aerial connection should go and have another try..please go back to the traditional 75 ohm connector then at least i could put up a decent aerial outside

- CD changer slightly noisy, fiddly to reset clock, proprietory connectors make it hard to extend speaker cables if required

+ Small & compact, plays mp3 CDs, sound quality is reasonable for it's size, wooden speaker cabinets blend in with other furniture, sound output is plenty at 50 watts per channel.

- No socket for an external aerial and will not work without in poor signal areas, the instructions recommend placing the included wire aerial horizontally, this should be vertical for DAB reception.

+ The fact that I was able to purchase a product which included DAB radio, a CD player and Cassette was fantastic. If I had the money would buy another to keep by for the future when I am sure it will no longer be available. I still want to play talking books cassette tapes, as well as new CDs. of music and books. I am also a fanatical radio fan and enjoy DAB radio programmes. Unlike so many products I was, as an older person, able to successfully set the DAB radio up using with ease the remote control to access stations I enjoy. Wonderful product!!!

- Not exactly a bad point, but the dab radio needs better arial in order to get a good connection. The one provided is not long enough and we can only use the radio on one side of our room instead of where we planned to put it.

+ Smart, stylish, easy to use. Sound quality is good even at low volume.

- We have discovered that DAB reception in our area is mediocre, to say the least, and could be improved with an external aerial. However, this model does not have the necessary connection with which to fit one. This is disappointing as we now have our (much looked forward to) DAB system, but are forced to continue listening on FM stereo.

+ disc change is slow but the whole look of the product and quality is fab, was surprised at the size its fairly large and we thought we were buying a mini size one! I love it though, perfect for my studio.

+ Good sound quality on using CD's and radio. Still referring to the booklet as only bought this at Christmas. Also bought it because it plays cassettes which other hi-fi units didn't have. Ticked all that I wanted from a hi-fi unit plus also looks good and has that retro look when you take off the front covers.

- Cable wires from unit to loudspeakers could be longer if anyone wanted to place loudspeakers away from unit although it's okay for me. Some stations are still quite difficult to pick up on DAB, still resolving this as no antenna socket in back of unit.

+ Neat compact design pleasing to the eye. Good use of space for 3 disc changer and the tape cassette deck used for display.

- Poor aerial attachment being hard to keep in position. Poor speaker attachment making it hard to adapt and add other components. Poor speaker design making it hard to position also combined with the shortness of speaker leads. Tape deck does not auto reverse.

+ great sound quality (even REALLY loud), 3 cds, D.A.B radio. It really was an amazing purchase so glad I bought it, I love it. Ten out of ten!

+ Excellent value for a well designed, extremely capable machine. Plenty of speaker power and digital radio surprisingly effective given that we live in an area where reception is notoriously poor.

- Pathetically short speaker cables make it impossible to site these anywhere other than each side of the player. Sony extensions rather expensive so I had to cut and splice existing cables with standard speaker leads so that I could walll-mount speakers...Shouldn't have been so complcated !

+ The sound is absolutely brilliant for a small system. The DAB radio is fantastic, never heard such good quality. The design is appealing and the price was delightful. Overall definitely a micro system worth purchasing.

- rated at 50 watts rps...is this a joke? have to turn volume to near maximum to get a decent listening level...the speakers are the same as supplied with lesser models....very disappointed

+ This Sony is compact and good looking,easy to use and set up.This is a good quality product for the money we paid,would recommend it to anybody.DAB works fine and bbc site said we lived in good reception area. Great to have tape function as not many do now and 3 disc changer. Dont worry about negative things people have said buy it, you will not be disappointed.

- only bad points are as other people have said before no external aerial connection,existing aerial is just a wire but it does still work. also the speaker cables are quite short but not too short for me.

+ The only reasonably priced mini-hifi I could find that had DAB and a multi-CD. DAB reception has proved excellent. Sound quality good all round.

- Minor design issue - doesnt turn on except by the power button from standby, eg cant just press a CD button, have to turn on and then press the CD button. Not sure that faux wood speaker cases are a good choice, dont seem to gel with the silver of the main unit but thats just my preference.

- The unit houses a tape deck which is a little bit "old hat" these days. But its an extra feature.

- doesn't go very loud atall, takes forever to skip cd, can only use speakers that came with system and can't extend them, pretty big for a micro system and the quality of it

- The radio will only pick up certain stations (not the main ones) so I still have to use my trusty Pure Evoke 1 radio (which is in the same place as the Sony) if I want to listen to BBC Radio

+ the sound is good and music wont distorted even when turned up to highest volume. very good for money.

- Cant think of any apart from the cassette deck - no auto reversed.

+ A neat, small model. The CD and tape functions work okay although the noise of the 3 x CD changer is rather distracting.

- The radio part of this model is disappointing as the thin wire aerial (which plugs in with a 3 pin plug is useless.. DAB stations are almost impossible to receive and when available come with a loud hiss. FM stations, whilst audible, also suffer with a hiss. SONY and the retailer are unable to come up with a solution so that the radio might be used with some enjoyment.
