No carry case provided by company, still VGA image quality is horrible- worse than a 1mega picsel camera. Batter life is very less even less than a hour. No dVD discs was provided by supplier so thats an added cost. Bottom line the accesseries will cost half the price of the camcorders.so be prepared for that.

picture quality is very good as is battery life. the manual settings menu is easy to use and set up. the instant startup function is a real boon for action scenes helping make sure you miss nothing whilst waiting for the camera to "fire up". the zoom microphone function is great, i would not want to be without it now i am used to it. the memory stick backup is another handy feature.

as with many products of this type,the handbook is a bit of a pain.several of the options settings i had to work out for my self as the instructions were gobbldygook. care has to be taken in use to keep dust off the flip out lcd screen as with the touch sensitive function could lead to scratching. also the s video lead is not included and is very expensive to buy seperatly. thats about it really.

Very light in weight, instructions good, a very versatile piece of equipment. This camcorder is highly suitable for people who are not older than 45 yrs.

For me the buttons and images on/by buttons are too small - I therefore have to remember and double check where they all are prior to using. This camcorder is not suitable for older persons due to its small button size. Older persons have less dexterity in their fingers and poorer eyesight for its manipulation.

Lightweight easy to handle. Operation relatively easy to learn my 7yo picked it up pretty quickly. Easy playback of recordings on dvd players.

Only being able to get 30 mins of recording on each mini disk but as this is standard not too much can be done about it.

when disc space runs out I thought it would continue recording onto the memory card . maybe you have to set something beforehand though - I've only used it on holday so far and didn't take the instructions with me - though this should be automatic I think!

just a good product which is easy to use and very portable in a small camera bag mini DVDs which last 30 mins or 60mins double sided are an ideal media

a pity that sony Picture Motion Browser only works if you remove other DVD/CD programs ie "NERO" suit

MY SON WHO IS 14 WANTED THIS FOR HIS BIRTHDAY, HE HAS FOUND IT VERY EASY TO USE AND IT HAS A REALLY GOOD ZOOM. GOOD BATTERY LIFE.

Easy to use as can be set up on auto. Alternativly, you can take control and alter any of the settings. The interface is intuitive and easy to use once explored.

Very few, especially considering the price. Maybe the battery life could be longer, but even this is acceptable. Batteries can also be purchased quite reasonably through the net.

Viewfinder is a little difficult to see - could do with more clarity. Screen gets dirty very quickly - a stylus would be useful or have more buttons around the edge

This was bought for a school and as yet have not had chance for the children to try it. So far though, it looks like they should have no trouble using it - the test will be to see how robust it is!!

The carry case that comes with it is a bit too large for carrying around discreetly Doesn't come with a memory stick, I'd trade in the carry case for a memory stick. Speaker volume is not great
