+ easy to use, great features being able to doc your ipod and also download to the hard disk drive
- Bass gets distorted at high volumes, would be good if it has a graphic equaliser, also take ages to load the hdd with your cd's, takes approx 15mins per CD

+ It does exactly what I want it to (almost!) As far as I can tell the sound is excellent, and certainly more than adequate for my needs. I've put almost my entire CD collection on the hard drive and there's still plenty of room for more. I'm really pleased to be able to play from my MP3 player as well, and to be able to listen to my favourite radio station (UCB inspiration.) When my old CD player began to show signs of collapse, I researched the market, and this is (almost) perfect for my needs. Also it's very easy to fill up the MP3 player from the hard drive - much quicker than doing it through the computer.
- I haven't yet sussed out out to select and play an entire CD from the hard drive. Although the music seems to be organised according to the CD it's on, I tend to find that, when I select a CD to play, it has a mind of its own and goes back the the CD that is alphabetically first on the list. This is easily remedied either by using the CD itself(!) or by programming what I want to play, as it's really easy to programme up to 25 songs.

+ brilliant sound quality, decent size i.e. not too large so it doesnt take up lots of space, very easy to use; overall the perfect hi-fi system.

+ Looks very nice, feels like a quality product
- Gives the impression that the USB port can be used to upload music files but it is only true if the source is a Sony product

+ Good quailty system for price. Connectivity to other devices (I Pod, MP3). Easy plug and play features.
- Not really a bad point as such but if the display feature were able to raise and lower when powred on would be an added feature.

Roy, Cowes I.w, “Pensioner”
+ Good digital radio, sound quality good from small speakers
- Controls on top of unit, which makes using them difficult if unit is sighted on or above eye level. Transferring music from Ipod,CD or USB is slow. Unit switches off when speaker leads are extended.

+ Great product, although might have gone for the next model with wireless speakers if it wasn't such a price difference.
- On the HDD the named artists albums with two CD's appear under the 'Various' category rather than the artist's name. You can't sort the albums/ artists either.

+ a small compact unit with alot of storage to load your music on looks good sounds good easy to load music on if you have patience as not the fastest best way to load music from ipod is to leave it down loading over night album, artist, track infomation easy to use good that you can play music from mp3 players or usb stick value for money
- not having a bass or equalizer cant ajust sound speakers not bad but would be good if you could buy bigger ones does take time to put music on hdd

Vicky, Durham, “30 something married mum”
+ wonderful not to have cds lying about all the time as now everything is on the hard drive. Interfaces with our 2 walkmans so they can be charged, upload, download or just played through the speakers. Good sound quality. Looks good
- it's a bit fiddly scrolling through all the cds looking for the one you want, think i just need to get the hang of it a bit more : )

Richard, Bradford, “dab junkie”
+ easy to use, good quality sound
- ipod connector would have better on the side. Medium wave antenna is a bit bulky.

Keith, Chester
+ It has an excellent package of CD, MP3 player and DAB radio, with the jewel in the crown being the hard drive. "Load once" music. For its size the sound quality is very good and it looks the part. Even the DAB reception was good - with the wire aerial!
- The user interface is good for standard functions e.g. radio and CD, but is poor for using the HD music, with navigation being particularly messy and non-intuitive. The remote does help in this respect. The recording time is also slow. A x4 cd reader copmare badly with the x40 more typical of PC based units.

Jim, Stoke On Trent, “music and gadget lover”
+ ease of use, very stylish and loads of very useful features.
- a little too much base for me, but it can be tweaked on the graphic equaliser. as we have a very large cd collection it is taking a long time to rip it all to the hard drive, even at 4 times standard speed.

+ Great sound & looks
- Loading up CDs etc is hard work, Sony interface is sometime a bit user unfriendly [gusee I'm used to my iPod] & I had to buy a Sony USB stick to transfer from my computer. Hard Drive hums a bit so crank up the sound.

John, Clacton On Sea
+ Hard drive makes a big difference having all ur music in one system can't be beat. Using a usb flash card to transfer music from computer to ur player could'nt be easier, does the same with cd and radio although the radio side dos'nt bother me. Good looks and being compact also make this a desireable unit and the sound it makes is really good.
- keeping tracks under one album on the hard drive can be tricky especially if its a various artists album if they have different id tags it could mean altering them to do so. Alright if your clued up not so good if your not. As i like to keep things in order i spend the time making sure.
