+ i needed a video/dvd/hdd all in one package and this product is just the right thing. it was very easy to set up and i havent had any probs with it so far. all in all it is very good value for money and i would definitely recommend it to others.

- the only adverse thing i would say is that it takes a little while to 'kick into life' when you first switch it on in order to use the product, but maybe i'm a little impatient when i'm in a hurry?

+ All recording types in one box. Freeview easy to set to record - almost as good as SKY+ !! Picture quaility excellent - with a stong/quality Freeview signal.

- Can't set a traditional timer schedule recording to the VHS - only HDD or DVD - not required but try telling your elderly parents that. Series link basic and abit confusing - I would like one button - then let the EPG work it all out.

+ Does what it should without fuss. Starts up reasonably quickly.

- Remote control does not include the capability to control a TV. Timed recordings set via the Electronic Programme Guide cannot have their times adjusted (e.g. to add a few minutes at the end for safety's sake).

+ I bought this product to consolidate three separate items and rate this as the best value fror money out of similar units on the market. With only one scart lead to the TV it does away with the previous cabling mess as well as freeing up a power socket for the Wii. It was so easy for the initial set up, especially the Freeview tuning which was 10 times faster than my old box. The all encompassing remote takes a bit of getting used to.

- The only moan I have is that unlike my old Freeview box where I could record multiple digital channels and still watch another digital channel or watch an old digital recording at the same time, this unit will not allow it. You can however watch either an anaolgue channel or VHS or DVD at the same time as your digital recording is being made.
