- The cord is difficult when in use, it is hard to keep it away from the machine when using.
Also havent yet mastered putting the power cord tidy when not in use.

Runs out of water quicker than I'd like, valve annoys me keep stopping the suction if I don't keep cleaner true to carpet.

+ It was very easy to use and the instructions were very clear. didn'i realise just how dirty the carpets had become. It will not happen again as I shall easily be able to clean them

- The only thing I have had difficulties with was when cleaning the machine after use the dirty water tank is a bit difficult to get clean.

- This is the second Vax carpet cleaner I have purchased. I was not happy with the first one, but thought that with the revolving brush on this model Vax carpet cleaner the performance might be improved.It wasnt.The carpet looks cleaner and fresher immediately after use but thia lasts only a few days and it certainly does not remove all stains,just the surface ones that could easily be removed manually

+ We found that the product did as it was labelled which was to wash carpets and it does.

- It's quite noisy, which means our neighbor heard it and now wants to borrow it.

You can really tell a difference in the carpets looking fresher & cleaner.

- I HADN'T REALIZED I WOULD HAVE TO ASSEMBLE THE PRODUCT. WHICH ALTHOUGH STRAIGHT FORWARD ENOUGH WAS TIME CONSUMING

+ Easy to use, quick to fill and empty once set up.

- Bad point, doesn`t really remove stains, is a general light carpet cleaner, really freshens up, but you still need to go over certain patches over and over again, then the stain is still not removed. Also found the upholstery tool hard to use, seemed to spray a jet of water everywhere and soak the sofe, maybe was me still getting used to using the item.

+ This VAX is brillant. My children are constantly at the moment being sick and it is an ideal way to clear any mess they make plus it gets all of those nast smell out. I cleans my sofa the other week and you would not believe the dirt that came out of it also the carpets the dirt and muck was unbelieveable.

- Very heavy. Too bulky to use on stair carpet.Hose attachment has literally no suction, so cannot use this for stairs either. All it really does is leave wet patches, which when dried, shows up streaky.

Little bit of a pain setting up the 2 different ways to use the machine, i.e to clean via the normal push hoover type or using the extension hose. But saying that it is useful to get into places you would not be able to normally.

+ I am delightde with this product - it gets lots of dirt out of the carpet and leaves them relatively dry

- Water tanks can be hard to click back into place, but othe than that it is very easy to use

- Doesn't clean carpets at all. Really disappointed with it. Very poor at squirting water everywhere.

+ Easy to fill tank and fit to machine. Light to use, particularly fo those with neck/shoulder problems. Instructions easy to follow. Extracts lots of dirt. Initial assembly of cleaner easy (being a woman!)

- The hoses keep falling off the back when in use. The dirty water tank fills up quite often, necessitating frequent emptying. The fluff that builds up in the lower edges of the dirty water tank cannot be flushed out, and necessitated unscrewing all the screws to take tank apart to clean. I feel it would be easier to have the process of cleaning reversed so that you squeeze the shampoo/water when in forward motion and drying and sucking up water on the backward motion. Confused as to how much cleaning solution to put in each tank full.

Despite some of the bad points (minor niggles) it does do the job it is supposed to.

- Instructions not impressive, not very clear as to where the hoses and cables fit.
Also the hose is a bit tight when fitted around storage lugs.
lot of messing about to use the hose and suction tool.
when disconnecting the hose the remaing cleaning fluid left in the tube leaks over the floor without warning.
The tank overflow overspill device sticks when the tank is not full (can be quite annoying as you have to turn off the appliance wait five seconds then you can use it again) this may just be a fault on my appliance.

+ It really gives the carpets a deep clean. I was horrified at how dirty the water was.

+ This is a greta product at a great price. Really got my carpets clean and is easy to use.

- The tube for the upholstery tool is a little awkward when not in use, but can be taken off easily.

+ Easy to put together (can't see why anyone has has problems). Does the job - My carpet didn't look dirty, was a guest bedroom carpet and I was only freashening it up before the arrival of new furniture so was really surprised at how dirty the water was. All the tools are neatly stored on board so no hunting around when you need them.

- Waste water does need emptied pretty often and if you move to quickly the machine thinks it's full and you have to let the water settle again before you can continue.
